A large crowd attended the Lower Falls Social and Recreational Club on Saturday 31st October to commemorate the attacks on the Republican Clubs 40 years ago.
Mickey McCorry, who introduced the event spoke of the dark times endured not only by members of the Clubs but also family members and supporters.
Workers’ Party President Michael Donnelly spoke on the role and vision of Billy McMillen, murdered in April 1975, and the continuity between McMillen’s ambition to build the Republican Clubs and the decisions of recent Workers’ Party Ard Fheiseanna to build a strong and vibrant Party.
