Well attended discussions on working class politics in Dublin during the late 1960s and early 1970s were held in the Cobblestone Pub in Smithfield during February.
On Saturday 18th February, a commemoration for political activist Peter Graham was chaired by Alan MacSimoin, with the historian and friend of Graham’s Rayner O’Connor Lysaght speaking. A socialist organiser, Graham was murdered in 1971.
On 25th February, trade unionist Mick O’Reilly discussed his involvement in the Dublin Housing Action Committee and activism in Dublin from the late 1960s, at an event hosted by the Stoneybatter and Smithfield’s People’s History Project.
