Rising Commemorations in Belfast

Easter Rising Centenary Commemorations in Belfast included a series of of events over the Easter period.

On Sunday, 27th March the traditional Workers’ Party march to Milltown cemetery in West Belfast was held (picture left), there were also a workshop on what a secular, socialist Republic should mean and a commemoration of 1916 Rising veteran, trade unionist and suffragette Winifred Carney. Members of the Revolutionary Communist Youth (RKU) from Sweden (below) attended many of the events.
